Crypto asset manager Bitwise has acquired Chorus One, a staking infrastructure company that currently oversees more than $2.2 billion in staked assets. The deal, announced Tuesday, will see 50 Chorus One employees join Bitwise Onchain Solutions, where several billion dollars in crypto assets are already managed on-chain.

Chorus One has operated staking services since 2018 for a client base spanning finance firms, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, custodians, funds, exchanges, and decentralized protocols. The acquisition expands Bitwise's staking capabilities to more than 30 proof-of-stake blockchains, including Solana, Hyperliquid, Monad, Avalanche, Sui, Aptos and Tezos.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Chorus One CEO Brian Crain will transition to an advisory role at Bitwise following the close of the transaction.

Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley said staking remains one of the most compelling growth opportunities for clients holding spot crypto assets. The acquisition signals Bitwise's intent to deepen its on-chain yield products as the Securities and Exchange Commission has shown greater openness to a broader range of crypto investment vehicles.

As of February 2026, Bitwise manages over $15 billion in assets across more than 40 investment products and employs nearly 200 people worldwide. Its flagship products include the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB) and the Bitwise Ethereum ETF (ETHW), which have accumulated over $2 billion and $387 million in flows, respectively, since launching in 2024.

Other products in its lineup include the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL), Bitwise XRP ETF, Bitwise Chainlink ETF, and Bitwise Dogecoin ETF. The company also recently listed four crypto exchange-traded products on the London Stock Exchange.
Staking allows holders of crypto tokens to earn rewards, typically ranging from 2% to 10% annually, by locking tokens on a blockchain to support network operations. The ChorusOne deal positions Bitwise to offer staking-based yield across a significantly broader set of assets than it previously covered, a move that could factor into future ETF product development pending regulatory approvals
