Launched in July 2025 by a team based in Singapore, USDT.a is a fully collateralized stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar and developed by ArtaFoundation. It is deployed on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and follows the ART20 token standard — a custom framework introduced by ArtaBlockchain to support programmable and efficient digital assets within decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. USDT.a is backed 1:1 by traditional USDT (Tether) held in institutional custody. Each USDT.a token issued corresponds directly to an equivalent amount of USDT stored in off-chain reserves. The project is designed to address concerns around transparency, programmability, and on-chain usability of fiat-pegged stablecoins.
